Weather fails to dampen spirits

Not even unseasonably chill weather could put a damper on the It’s the Little Things’ Spring Fair in their nursery at Parkhaven Trust in Maghull on Saturday.

Forward planning saw the now annual event moved indoors, where kiddies – and their parents and guardians – enjoyed hooking a duck, face painting, homemade cakes and lots more to the cheery accompaniment of traditional folk band Time Ashore.

Scott McCubbin, who owns the nursery, said: "The weather could have been kinder but just like last year the place was really heaving with people enjoying themselves - which is after all what it is all about."
