Spotting spiders

Children from It’s the Little Things nursery, Maghull, hunted for spiders in the Parkhaven Trust’s 40 acre woodland park.

The adventure began after a large spider was spotted in the garden.

Pre-school room leader Bethan Badger, pictured with three-year-olds Daniel Calderon and Rebecca Duffy as they try to wash a spider out of the drain, said: "It was great. It fitted into our theme of nursery rhymes."

The children also made their own spiders using yoghurt cartons and pipe cleaners, as well as paintings.
