Maghull children's nursery tots help African child survive

Children in a Maghull nursery have sponsored a five year old child from Zambia.

It's the Little Things nursery at the Parkhaven Trust is paying £18 a month through World Vision UK to pay for little Nason Musomali's future. They money will help pay to provide the child with food, clean water, education and healthcare.

Scott McCubbin, who co-owns the nursery with Louise Waller, said he felt the sponsorship would help the children to realise the difference between two continents.

"This money is through the nursery’s own account and World Vision will keep us updated about the little boy’s progress. "It will be fantastic for the children because they’ll be able to see how he’s getting on as he grows up."

The It’s the Little Things nursery is based based upon several important principles, said Scott.

"We want to make sure the children have the outdoor element to learning. We never have them inside all of the time. “We have birds nests and apple trees and we grow some of our own vegetables. It's all about trying to instil in them strong values that we feel are fundamentally important."
