Excellence is rewarded at Liverpool children's day nursery

Little people in Maghull are celebrating a big reward! "It’s the Little Things", a nursery based on Liverpool Road South, came in the top three of the recent Liverpool Daily Post Regional Business Awards.

Experts judging the prestigious awards praised the nursery, which opened a year ago, for its commitment to "quality service" and fresh food policy.

They also highlighted innovations like "zoo day", when owls, lizards and other animals visited the nursery. Owner's Louise Waller and Scott McCubbin of Maghull said: "We’ve worked hard and devoted a lot time and money to the nursery. We wanted the ideal location and it took us nearly five years to find it.

"We’re committed to a family environment, with a mix of staff ages. Everyone brings different experience and it creates a more stable, friendly atmosphere.

"Our parents seem to appreciate what we are trying to achieve - although we’re always looking to improve."
