Health on a plate reaps rewards for nurseries

It's the Little Things nursery in Maghull won praise in an Ofsted report for its commitment "to provide a healthy nutritious diet."

This includes employing a cook who freshly prepares meals ranging from Spanish chicken and noodles to sausage casserole.

Inspectors discovered children love the the fresh food so much "two and three year olds squealed with delight when they saw the fruit platter of grapes, banana and kiwi fruit."
