All set for 'Big Toddle'

Pyjama party

More than 50 children, parents and staff at Maghull’s It’s the Little Things set off on their annual Big Toddle last week, raising more money for Barnardo’s.

Following an animal theme, many of the participants dressed up for the occasion as they walked around the grounds of the Parkhaven Trust site, and costumes ranged from a monkey, a crocodile and two elephants to a bumble bee and a cat.

Nursery manager Sue Carr said: “Everyone really got into the spirit of the walk.

"We used the grounds where we’re located, covering the mile-long walk.

"We did some animal spotting, seeing two ducks in a pond and a squirrel running up a tree.

"The girls loved the ladybird spotting in the wood too.

"The boys on the other hand were singing ‘We’re going on a bear hunt!"

"We encourage parents to get involved and we always have a good turnout."

The nursery has collected £200 for the charity so far."
